Team Prepares To Add Substitute

Kawasaki preparing for two supercross riders.
January 30, 2008

Irvine, CA - Following the injury to Monster Energy Kawasaki rider James Stewart, the team is preparing to add a substitute rider for the remainder of the 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM Championship.

The team is currently evaluating a number of riders and is expected to make a decision prior to the Anaheim 3 on Feb. 2. Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Timmy Ferry raced without a teammate this past weekend in San Francisco after Stewart’s injury ended his supercross season.

“We are a racing team and we always want to compete in the spirit of the sport,” said Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Manager Mike Fisher. “Timmy is a great rider and we will continue to give him support on the track with a teammate. Right now we are looking at our options and are hoping to make an announcement soon.”
