Dallas, TX - Team Monster/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider, Ryan Villopoto, captured his first career Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Lites victory before a crowd of 45,445 Saturday night at Texas Stadium in Dallas. The 17-year-old rookie sensation from Poulsbo, Wash., completely dominated the evening by winning his heat race, capturing the holeshot in the main event and running away with the checkered flag by nearly a three second margin. Villopoto’s teammate, Grant Langston, kept his championship hopes alive with a third place finish.
In the Supercross action Kawasaki Racing Team rider, James Stewart, got out to an early lead in the main event before crashing on lap nine. The 20-year-old phenom quickly regrouped and managed to salvage a second place finish. Stewart’s teammate, Michael Byrne, rounded out the top five.
The Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP / Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series heads to Qwest Field in Seattle, April 29th for the 17th stop on the 18-race series.
